Our President, David Pidgeon is very involved in the industry and has served as President of the largest consumer electronics buying group, and has held various board positions in the industry. Recently, Starpower was inducted into Dealerscope Magazine’s Hall of Fame!

David K. Pidgeon CEO
Read BioDavid K. Pidgeon is a co-founder of Starpower and has served as President/CEO of Starpower since the company’s inception in 1995. Under his tenure, the Dallas-based company has grown into one of the largest custom home electronics companies in America. In September 2011, Starpower acquired Ed Kellum & Son, an audio, video, and appliance store serving the DFW area since 1948. David is also a principal of the company’s nationwide flooring company, StarFloors, Inc.
Using his marketing savvy combined with an unparalleled customer service doctrine, David created a brand image for the company that has attracted an elite clientele, which includes professional athletes, celebrities, and Fortune 500 business leaders. David previously served as Executive Vice President of Pidgeon’s Home Furnishings, a family-owned and operated company based in Des Moines, IA. Among many achievements and industry awards, the company was the single largest seller of satellite systems in the country.
David has served on the Board of Directors for ProSource, the largest electronics buying group in the country, for the past four years and was previously President of Home Entertainment Source Buying Group.
Among his numerous industry awards, David was inducted into the Dealerscope Hall of Fame in 2016. A recognized industry leader with over 35 years of experience in the home electronics and retail industries, David is a frequent guest speaker, has served on several advisory boards, and is passionate about giving back to the community via the company’s many philanthropic endeavors.
David earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin in 1985.
He has been married to Sheryl for 22 years, and together they have three children: Bryce, 20, a sophomore and collegiate golfer at Trinity University, Jaxie, 19, a freshman at The University of Texas at Austin, and Lindsey, 17, a high school senior. A dedicated family man, David has enjoyed coaching his children’s competitive sports teams and caddying for their golf tournaments. On the rare occasions when he is not in his office or on the showroom floor, he can be found on a golf course struggling to get his scratch game back.

Steven Pidgeon Chairman
Read BioMr. Steven Pidgeon is the Chairman of Starpower and Chief Executive Officer of Star Companies. Over the last 44 years, he has developed an in-depth knowledge of the home furnishings industry by working as a salesperson, store manager, buyer, and Vice–President of Merchandise and Operations before becoming President. Steven developed floor covering procedures used by many companies today and has attended over 180 buying markets throughout the world.
Based on his company’s outstanding sales and growth performance, he was named as one of the top 25 Home Furnishings retailers in the United States out of 17,000 Home Furnishings retailers by Professional Furniture Merchants magazine. Steven’s professional and civic affiliations include serving on the Board of Directors of AirPower Foundation, Tribute to Valor Foundation, National Home Furnishings Association, and the International Home Furnishings Association, the Board of Retailers of the Dallas Market Center, membership in the Arizona and Lone Star Chapters of Young Presidents Organization and World Presidents Organization, as well as many others.
Steven is a registered Interior Designer with the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners and has received the University of Texas Organizational Management Special Project Award. Steven earned marketing and management degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and also attended the University of Michigan.

Michael’s particular expertise in retail operations are used to expertly manage and generate revenue for Star Interior Resources team of Territory and Account Managers whom are responsible for selling flooring products and complete interior renovations in major metropolitan areas nationwide. Furthermore, Michael has played an instrumental role in Starpower’s business operations. With Michael’s knowledge and skills, Star Companies has become the leading and premier interior resources provider in the nation.

He has also successfully led growth initiatives for startups, SaaS, turnaround, and Fortune 500 companies. His expertise lies in delivering innovative, high-quality, accountable, and cost-effective solutions that drive new business development and increase market share in fast-paced environments.

Daniel currently serves as Vice President of Finance & Information Technology for Starpower and Ed Kellum & Son, and as Vice President of Information Technology for Star Floors and Star Interior Resources. Daniel’s present role includes operational and management oversight of information and telephony systems, as well as strategic resource and business process planning.
